Day 3056: The Chit-Chat Podcast
A Chit-Chat in the Kurakani Show with my very good friend Sudin Shrestha on "Embracing Cultural roots and passing it to through Generations'
WOW! A chat I never thought I would have with Sudin. Sudin and I went to St. Xaviers College many years ago in Nepal. All I remember of those times is having fun, being silly and creating memories. Luckily for me its what Sudin remembers of me too.
On his podcast 'The Kurakani Show' we touch on our memories but go on to discuss how to embrace cultural roots and pass it to the generations.
Please listen, share and comment.
PS: A huge congratulations to Sudin for this beautiful show. All the best!

Day 3028: 4 Agreements
This new year 2021 I won’t make resolutions but I make 4 agreements to myself inspired by Dom Miguel Ruiz’s book. It’s a set of spiritual beliefs held by Toltec people.
(Toltec Culture is
pre-Columbian culture that ruled a state in Mexico very long time ago)
The four agreements are
· Agreement 1: Be Impeccable with Your Word.
Impeccable comes from Latin word ‘Immecatus’ meaning ‘sin’ and Latin suffix ‘im’ meaning ‘without’. So, this agreement means I will take responsibility of my actions and remain without judgment against myself and others. I will speak with integrity and carefully choose words before saying them aloud. I confess I have been culprit of using wrong words and hurting many. But not anymore(hopefully!)
· Agreement 2: Don't Take Anything Personally.
This agreement is about having a strong sense of self and not needing to rely on the opinions of others in order to be content and satisfied. Dom Miguel Ruiz believes that anger, jealousy, envy, and even sadness can lessen or dissipate once an individual stops taking things personally.
· Agreement 3: Don't Make Assumptions.
When one assumes what others are thinking, it can create stress and interpersonal conflict because the person believes their assumption is a representation of the truth. Dom Miguel Ruiz believes that a solution to overcoming the act of making an assumption is to ask questions and ensure that the communication is clear between the persons involved. Individuals can avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama by not making assumptions
· Agreement 4: Always Do Your Best.
This agreement entails integrating the first three agreements into daily life and also living to one's full potential. It involves doing the best that one can individually manage, which varies from the different situations and circumstances that the individual may encounter. R Dom Miguel Ruiz believes that if one avoids self-judgment and does their best in every given moment, they will be able to avoid regret.

Day 3021: Good bye 2020!
The COVID-19 virus ridden year 2020 has finally come to an end. When I have worked equally hard this year I don’t have much to show, and while the year felt quite long I’m surprised how quickly it has gone.
The most important thing that I will remember about the year is being able to spend time with my immediate family. Being able to have a non-rushed interactions, developing patience to understand each other’s frailties and being able fulfil their emotional needs.
The character this 2020 has helped me develop, the lessons this year has taught me and the decisions I have made are all for me. The happiness we have achieved together is for me to share with all the families and friends.
Hoping and wishing a very happy, healthy and successful new year 2021 to all!
