Day 3241: Edinburg Festival Carnival
In this video of 2 minutes, we have been able to showcase a very small glimpse of the cultural variety Nepal has, in front of 100s of thousands of people on the streets of Edinburgh, Scotland. Pasa Puchah Guthi UK(PPGUK) and Nepal Scotland Association participated with various other local community groups, showing off their culture, heritage and belief with pride.
This was in 2019. This was the first act of Pasa Puchah Guthi UK -BOT (2019-2021) and me being the President – Initiation of Pasa Puchah Guthi UK - Scotland branch.
In this video, we can see the happy faces, colourful energy, bulging pride and immense satisfaction but what we don’t see is amount of commitment, perseverance, passion, hard work and drama that went in the preparation.

Day 3235: Football is NOT coming home, again.
1966, the last time England had been to the final of any major tournament, three years later in 1969 a human being landed on the surface of moon. After that, there has been several crewed landings on the moon but England hadn’t played in the finals till yesterday. So, what a great achievement. Nothing stops from dreaming and hoping for the win.
The first goal by Luke Shaw under two minutes - what the perfect start but it looked like its not the start England manager Gareth Southgate was expecting. The goal completely took Southgate by surprise and his game plan went out of the window when the Italians came back with the adjustment to overturn the deficit.
Roberto Mancini, on the other hand came out as a tactical genius. The changes he made and the talk he gave during the halftime worked wonders. It got a goal, albeit scruffy to the Italians. From here on Italians were unstoppable, while Gareth Southgate seem to have stuck to same game plan he was hoping for which was a draw till the 60th minute, without taking the dynamics and the psyche of the players into the consideration. The game ended 1-1 and then to the extra time.
Southgate introduced Marcus Rasford and Jodon Sancho at the last minute of extra 30 mins making it clear they were there just to take the penalties. Alas, both of them missed.
A single kick of the ball doesn’t define the player or the person, but if it was the only kick that you were allowed in the Euro FINALS, if that kick carried the hope of the nation, if that was the one kick that could end the 55 years of heartache. If that was the kick that would have uplifted the entire generation of football fans in the country – You are supposed to make it count. And on this Rasford and Sancho failed – They will be disappointed.
Even after the heroics of Jordan Pickford saving two penalties from the Italian it wasn’t enough when the young Saka’s penalty was saved, making Italy the winner of Euro 2020. Euro 202 Champions Italy, who had a game plan, changed the tactics when it didn’t work. Motivated each other and kept the nerves to the final kick of the ball to claim the coveted Euro 2020!

As the manager Gareth Southgate and the captain Harry Kane said, ‘You win together, you lose together’. Sometime to heal, reflect and to carry on. Next on World Cup 2022.

As for us being the bad loser, we needed something to hold on to just in case we lost and hence we created… Memories and bloody hell what a heck of memories we had. Barbecue in the rain, 6 families with kids in one room and the cheers and jeers. A mermory that will remain for long time. Some of the videos and pictures of the memorable night for both good and bad moments.

Day 3226: NS Today Magazine : Another one bites the dust
Relearn - Revolt - Recognise!
2nd issue launching today.
We have finally completed the 2nd issue of NS Today Magazine. We have worked hard on magazine, all through the pandemic. The experience has been surreal - working with so many talented, committed, passionate and hard working people. Together we have put in everything we can but mostly we put in love and passion into it. We sincerely hope you will like it.
I feel I have grown up a tiny bit while working on this issue.
We are over the moon to see the outcome and are very proud; we worked on it so we are bound to be happy and proud.
